The Woodlands swept College Park 25-15, 25-9, 25-22 in a District 15-6A contest between rivals and state-ranked foes.

Both teams were tied for first place with Klein coming into the night in league play.

The Woodlands (37-3, 9-1), ranked No. 3 by the TGCA, got a double-double of 16 kills and 16 digs by Dylan Maberry. Julieta Valdes added 10 kills. Jackie Lee had 24 digs while Allie Griffith had 18.

Clara Brower had 30 assists and 11 digs for a double-double.

For College Park (23-4, 8-2), ranked No. 8 in the state poll, Annie Cooke had 13 digs and 12 assists.

Caley Caffey led with 15 digs while Alexis McDaniel had 14.

Noelle Palmer had seven kills. Mallory Madison had four kills and 10 digs while Cooke added four kills.

The Woodlands hosts Klein Oak Tuesday while the Lady Cavaliers travel to Klein Collins.

OAK RIDGE BOUNCES BACK

The Oak Ridge Lady War Eagles got back into the win column with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-12 sweep of Klein Collins Friday night at home in District 15-6A.

The Lady War Eagles (23-15, 6-4) got a team-best 12 kills by Madison Hall. Alex Singleton added nine kills while Katie Mullen had seven.

Piper Boydstun led in assists with 26 and added seven kills. Julia Neveu led in digs with 14 while Abby Fowler had 11.

Oak Ridge travels to Klein Forest on Tuesday.

WILLIS SWEEPS PORTER

Willis swept Porter 25-12, 25-14, 25-22 at home Friday in District 20-5A play.

The Ladykats (27-13, 7-4) offense was paced by Izzy Sundquist, who had 28 assists. Taylor Thomas led the attack with 10 kills, while Jasmine Kelly and Bella Cantara added five apiece. Kelly led the team with 15 digs and Caroline Woodfill was close behind with 12.

The Spartans (10-19, 2-9) play at Huntsville on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Willis hosts district-leading Grand Oaks on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

NEW CANEY TOPS HUNTSVILLE

New Caney earned a 29-27, 15-25, 26-24, 25-13 victory over Huntsville in District 20-5A play on Friday.

Tori Garza and Bailee Weaver each had 12 kills to lead the attack for the Lady Eagles (20-15, 6-5). Cassidee Love had 34 assists, 14 digs and four aces. Kailey Joyner posted 21 digs, and McKenna Sustaire had 15. Rylee Quinn finished with 14 digs, and Erin Plunkett had three aces and three blocks.

New Caney returns to action at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Montgomery.

SPLENDORA EARNS SWEEP

Splendora earned a 25-11, 25-12, 25-10 sweep over Liberty in District 21-4A play on Friday night.

Jalynn Knight and Shaelyn Sanders led the Ladycats (23-12, 2-1) with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Kayla Martin had a team-high 22 digs, and Bree Bowers added 14. Falon Buford tallied 28 assists.

GRAND OAKS TOPS LAKE CREEK

Grand Oaks beat Lake Creek 25-17, 25-13, 23-25, 25-22 on Friday night in District 20-5A play.

The Grizzlies (29-9, 11-0) are at Willis on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Lions (14-15, 6-5) host Kingwood Park at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

KLEIN OAK SWEEPS CONROE

Conroe was swept 25-10, 25-12, 25-20 by Klein Oak at home on Friday in District 15-6A play.

The Lady Tigers (16-20, 1-9) were led offensively by Amanda Rivera’s eight kills. T’lisha Kennedy and Neena Landis had five kills apiece. Shelby Adams had 10 assists and Nicole Bokanyi had nine.

Saege Anzueto led the defensive effort with 15 digs. Bokanyi had nine.

Conroe hosts Klein Cain on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

BRENHAM SWEEPS MAG WEST

Magnolia West suffered a 25-23, 25-21, 25-21 loss against Brenham in District 19-5A play on Friday.

Leaders for the Mustangs (15-14, 4-3) included Alyssa May (eight kills, 10 digs, nine assists), Evyn Snook (six kills, 17 assists), Alexa Hayes (five kills, three blocks), Sarah Walker (five kills), Ally Wendel (18 digs, three aces) and Kaitlyn Breland (10 digs).

Magnolia West returns to action at 6 p.m. Tuesday at home against Magnolia.
