Conroe earned a 25-20, 25-15, 25-10 non-district road victory over Aldine Eisenhower on Friday.
Amanda Rivera led the attack for the Lady Tigers (10-9) with nine kills, while T’lisha Kennedy added eight. Saege Anzueto posted a team-high 31 digs, and Rivera added 10. Nicole Bokanyi led the team with 14 assists, and Abby Calhoun had a nice all-around match with eight digs, five kills and three aces.
Conroe returns to action at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Willis.
NEW CANEY TRIUMPHS OVER CROSBY
The New Caney Lady Eagles beat Crosby 25-17, 21-25, 25-23, 25-23 in a tightly contested non-district match Friday night.
New Caney (7-8) got 14 kills and two aces by Tori Garza.
Madison Young and Bailee Weaver each had 10 kills.
Kailey Joyner had 23 digs, Cassidee Love had 40 assists and Madeline Obregon had three blocks for the Lady Eagles.
New Caney travels up US-59 on Tuesday to play Shepherd at 6:30 p.m.
WILLIS LOSES TRIO OF GAMES
After a great start Thursday at the Tyler ISD Tournament, the Willis Ladykats took three losses Friday to John Tyler (25-19, 22-25, 25-22), Little Elm (26-24, 25-12) and Central Heights (19-25, 25-19, 25-22).
Against John Tyler, Taylor Thomas led the Ladykats (16-9) with seven kills. Isabelle Sundquist had 11 assists while Erin Bond had 12 blocks.
Georgia Everett had six kills against Little Elm while Sundquist had 11 assists and five digs.
Against Central Heights, Thomas had six kills, Bond had eight assists and Jasmine Kelly had five digs.
The tournament continues Saturday with bracket play.
TWHS WINS THREE MORE
The Woodlands remained unbeaten at the Leander Volleypalooza on Friday, beating Vandegrift (25-22, 25-23), Westlake (25-20, 25-15) and Aledo (25-19, 25-13).
The Woodlands return to action at 9 a.m. Saturday, playing Churchill in the Gold Bracket.

MAG WEST TAKES TWO WINS AT VOLLEYPALOOZA
Magnolia West went 2-1 at the Leander Volleypalooza on Friday, beating Vista Ridge (23-25, 25-20, 26-24) and Cypress Ranch (25-22, 18-25, 25-19) and losing to Pearland (25-19, 25-23).

GRIZZLIES GOES 1-2 AT TEXAS SHOWDOWN
Grand Oaks fell to New Braunfels (25-23, 25-20) and Bridgeland (25-14, 25-17) while beating Holy Cross (20-25, 25-22, 25-22) on the second day of the Under Armour Texas Showdown at Smithson Valley ISD.
The Grizzlies (16-7) will play in the Gold Consolation Bracket Saturday, starting against Liberty Hill.
PORTER FALLS TO TARKINGTON
In a non-district match Friday, Porter fell 25-19, 25-17, 25-23 to Tarkington.
The Lady Spartans (9-13) return to action for the second day of the Splendora Tournament on Saturday.
They play in the Gold Bracket and await the winner of Texas City and Klein Oak JV in the semifinals.
