College Park won both of its matches at the Kingwood Invitational on Thursday, beating Bellaire (28-26, 25-21, 25-20) and Kingwood (19-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-16, 15-9).

Noelle Palmer led the attack for the Lady Cavaliers (10-2) against Bellaire with 12 kills and 14 digs, and Annie Cooke paced the offense with 31 assists to go along with eight digs and seven kills. Mallory Madison added nine kills and 16 digs, Caley Caffey led the team with 18 digs. Alexis McDaniel posted 12 digs.

Palmer was the kills leader against Kingwood as well, finishing with 18 to go along with 15 digs. Cooke posted 32 assists, 12 digs and six kills. Madison and Amylah Webb each had seven kills, and Madison collected 15 digs. Caffey finished with 12 digs, and McDaniel had nine.

MONTGOMERY SWEEPS POOL

Montgomery started 3-0 in pool play at the Spring ISD tournament on Thursday, bouncing back from a non-district road loss against Magnolia West earlier this week.

The Lady Bears (6-7) earned victories over South Houston (25-16, 25-15), Jersey Village (25-21, 25-18) and C.E. King (25-21, 25-18).

Maddy Wofford led the attack against South Houston with 11 kills. Ally Williams posted nine assists, and Raina McWhirter added eight.

Wofford added another 13 kills against Jersey Village. McWhirter led the team with nine assists, and Williams finished with eight.

Wofford finished the day with seven more kills against C.E. King. Williams added four kills and six assists, and McWhirter also had six assists. Bri Wofford finished with three kills.

CONROE WINS TWO

Conroe went 2-1 in pool play at the Spring ISD tournament on Thursday, beating Porter (25-17, 25-9) and Vidor (25-14, 25-14) and losing to Fort Bend Clements (25-19, 25-23).

T’lisha Kennedy led the charge for the Lady Tigers (6-7) against Porter with six kills, while Abby Calhoun added five and Neena Landis and Amanda River each had four. Saege Anzueto led the team with 10 digs, Nicole Bokanyi paced the offense with 10 assists.

Rivera, Landis and Mikayla Anderson had four kills apiece against Vidor. Anzueto finished with 12 digs, and Bokanyi had eight assists. Shelby Adams helped the cause with five aces.

Anderson led the way with four kills against Clements. Anzueto had eight digs, and Bokanyi capped the match with 12 assists.

NEW CANEY WINS TWO

New Caney went 2-1 in pool play at the Spring ISD tournament on Thursday, beating Hightower (25-27, 25-20, 15-7) and Atascocita (25-22, 26-28, 15-8) and losing to Klein Collins (25-13, 25-18).

Madison Young led the Lady Eagles with 27 kills across the three matches, and Tori Garza was close behind with 24. Cassidee Love paced the attack with a team-high 57 assists. Kailey Joyner finished with 32 digs, while Erin Plunkett added 25. Love had eight aces, and Garza had five.

PORTER WINS ONE

Porter went 1-2 in pool play at the Spring ISD tournament on Thursday, beating Vidor (25-16, 25-13) and losing to Conroe (25-17, 25-9) and Clements (25-16, 27-25).
