The Woodlands moved on to the Region II-6A quarterfinal with an 11-1 win over Round Rock on Thursday in the area round.
The Highlanders (15-2), ranked fifth in Class 6A by the Texas Tennis Coaches Association, earned straight-set wins in most of the matches.
Girls doubles were the most closely-contested courts. Two girls doubles matches needed a tiebreaker, and each team won one. The Woodlands duo of Ella Arendes and Caroline Campbell won 3-6, 6-3 (10-6).
