While the weather is in a spring sweet spot of not too cold and not too hot, venues in Conroe and The Woodlands have outdoor concert series planned for the season.Â
Conroe recently announced its 2024 First Thursday Free Concert line up which begins in April. In The Woodlands, multiple outdoor venues and groups are taking advantage of the weather.Â

Here's what to know about Montgomery County spring concert series that are taking place or are in the works. They are all free concerts.Â
First Thursday Free Concert SeriesÂ
From April through September, Conroe's parks and recreation department hosts the First Thursday Free Concert Series at Heritage Place Park at 500 Metcalf Street in downtown Conroe.Â
There's an outdoor stage with a grassy area and hill for watching the concerts. Concertgoers may bring chairs and blankets. Food and beverages may be brought in with the exception of glass containers. Food trucks will be onsite for concessions.Â
All concerts start at 7 p.m.Â
This year's lineup includes Bog Seger tribute band Seger System April 11, Elvis artist Vince King May 2, Escape a Journey tribute band June 6, the Level One Motown band July 11, The Spicolis an 80s tribute band Aug. 8 and 80s and 90s Country music band closes out the series Sept. 5.Â
Concert in the Park Series
The Woodlands Township has two more dates in its Concert in the Park Series at Northshore Park in The Woodlands. The park has a covered stage and large grassy area adjacent to Lake Woodlands.Â
Concert in the Park features local bands playing a variety of favorites from pop and rock to country during the spring and fall. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted. Glass is prohibited.
Concerts are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Tracy Perez Band with 80s tribute music is set for this Sunday. Rock cover band Retro Radio closes out the spring series March 24. Northshore Park is at 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive.Â

Rock the RowÂ
Experience Hughes Landing on Lake Woodlands with live music Thursday evenings. Rock the Row features local and regional bands playing a variety of favorites from pop and rock to Country during the spring, summer and fall.Â
Concerts are from 7 to 8 p.m. under a covered stage with Lake Woodlands as a backdrop.Â
Upcoming concerts feature variety band Nick and the Hits March 21, the Oliver Penn Band with Country tunes March 28 and The Fab 5 Beatles tribute group closes the spring series April 4. The Hughes Landing retail and dining area is at 1950 Hughes Landing Blvd.Â
Market Street Spring Concert SeriesÂ
The Market Street Spring Concert Series is still to come with the first concert of the season May 2 with Mango Punch.Â
Concerts are 6 to 8:30 p.m. on the shopping destination Market Street's Central Park lawn.Â
Future dates include Adrian Michael and The Greenway Band May 9, JoiLux Band May 16, Rapture May 23, Breakfast at Tiffany's May 30 and Gary Kyle June 6.Â

Waterway NightsÂ
Enjoy live music by local and regional performers along The Woodlands Waterway at Waterway Square for Waterway Nights. The series takes place in the spring and summer.Â
Concerts are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 31 Waterway Square Place.Â
The current lineup features Steve Krase playing Blues/Rock March 23, Vince King and The Vegas Mafia Band in an Elvis tribute March 30 and SheWolf a Shakira tribute band April 6.Â
