Splendora (1-2): The Wildcats will try to get back to .500 this week with their fourth non-district game of the season. Splendora set a new season high in points during a 50-40 home victory over Spring Legacy last Friday night. Running back Zane Obregon has been leading the charge for the offensive attack with 464 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 73 carries (6.4 average). The Wildcats' defense has done a good job putting pressure on the opposing quarterbacks with 11 sacks through three games. Dallyn Paris, Cody Gaas and Davin McGraw have two apiece.

Hamshire-Fannett (1-1): The Longhorns opened their season with a 22-12 victory over Anahuac, but stumbled last week with a 49-39 loss against East Chambers. Ham-Fan has the upper hand when it comes to recent history in this series. The Longhorns have won five of six meetings since 2006. Ham-Fan returned 10 total starters this season, with five on each side of the ball. They advanced to the area playoffs last season and went 7-4 overall.
