Whether the costume is spooky, silly or scary; show it off at the East Montgomery County Improvement District’s annual free Fall Extravaganza on Thursday, Oct. 24. Held at the EMCID Complex Building from 5-8 p.m., kids can enter the costume contest, trick-or-treat to get candy from various vendors from the community, play games and enjoy carnival rides.
Various school organizations will sell food and beverages. Free parking is available at the New Caney ISD Annex Building behind the EMCID Complex.
“This is one of my favorite events every year,” said Sandy Seelye, EMCID Special Events Coordinator. “I love to see all the kids dressed up in their costumes and having fun.”
Every year, kids ages one-to-14 years old can compete in the costume contest. Photos will be taken of the costume contest entries and judges will select the best costume in different age categories.
Activities at the Fall Extravaganza include rides, slides, bounce houses, mining for gemstones, a strolling magician, face painting, laser tag, pony and camel rides and a petting zoo.
“It is a safe place for kids to ‘trick-or-treat’ and have a lot of fun at the same time,” said Sandy. “So, put on your costumes and come join the fun.”
