About the CSYO

The purpose of the Conroe Symphony Youth Orchestra (CSYO) is to offer young musicians in the Montgomery County area music instruction that is challenging, fun, and affordable. The CSYO welcomes members from all area school districts and home-school students who play the violin, viola, cello, bass, or flute.

Students are expected to supply their own instruments for all CSYO programs. Instruments may be rented or purchased from local music retailers.

Ensembles and Placement

The Conroe Youth Symphony Orchestra program offers an ensemble for musicians in elementary through high school. Placement in ensembles is based on playing ability, not age. There is no formal audition, however, students will be asked to demonstrate their abilities for placement purposes.
