Xander Aguirre was the top offensive threat for Splendora this season, and now he has been recognized as the most potent player in his district as well.
Aguirre was selected as the Offensive Player of the Year as the All-District 21-4A teams and superlatives were announced recently. He was one of five Splendora players to be recognized.
Teammates Damien Casas and Hector Villegas were named to the first team for the Wildcats, and Abraham Alacantare and Ivan Olguin were selected to the second team.
Livingston led the way with three superlative winners. Ivan Davalos was named Most Valuable Player, Carlos Fernandez was Utility Player of the Year, and Tyler Pfursich was given Coach of the Year honors. Huffman-Hargrave had two superlative winners with Jackson Kent as Defensive Player of the Year and Xavier Gabel as Goalkeeper of the Year. Angel Ruiz of Livingston was named Newcomer o of the Year to round out the league awards.
First-team selections for Livingston were Adrian Campos, Jose Medina and Eduardo Rios. Second-team picks for the Lions were Jesus Alvarez, Hugo De Leon and Ryan Shields.
First-team picks for Hargrave were Yonicel Torres, Oscar Botello and Will Romero. Second-team selections for the Falcons were Christopher Cuesta, Jackson Landry and Erick Ramirez.
First-team selections for Liberty were Jonathan Juarez and Jesus Landaverde. Second-team picks included Giovanni Lopez and Hector Del Rio.
Anthony Ramirez represented Anahuac on the first team, while Adrian Delacruz was named to the second team.
