Voting ends at 11 p.m. Friday, March 27. Here are the nominees:

Cole Himmer, Sr., The Woodlands

Himmer was selected as the District 15-6A Defensive Player of the Year after averaging 3.9 rebounds per game and taking 19 charges for the Highlanders.

Zion Childress, Sr., New Caney

Childress was selected as the District 20-5A Defensive Player of the Year after averaging six rebounds, four steals and four deflections per game for the Eagles.

Chanse Perkins, Soph., TWCA

Perkins was a TAPPS second-team all-state selection after averaging five rebounds, four steals and three deflections per game for the Warriors.

Pierce Spencer, Sr., Lake Creek

Spencer was selected as the District 20-5A MVP after averaging 7.5 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 2.5 deflections per game for the Lions.

Ja’Len Moore, Jr., Willis

Moore was a first-team All-District 20-5A selection after averaging 7.4 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.2 steals per game for the Wildkats.
