Help us decide who should be The Courier’s All-Montgomery County Boys Basketball Coach of the Year by voting in our online poll at the bottom of the page. The winner will receive ¼ of the vote towards the superlative. The other three will come from our sports staff.

Voting ends at 11 p.m. Wednesday, March 25. Here are the nominees:

Shannon Spencer, Lake Creek

Spencer guided the Lions to the regional semifinals during the program’s second season. Lake Creek took second place in District 20-5A and finished with a 27-12 overall record.

Tanner Field, TWCA

Field led the Warriors to the TAPPS Class 4A state title, the second championship for the program in three years. TWCA finished the season with a 27-6 overall record.

Clifton McNeely, College Park

McNeely guided the Cavaliers back to the playoffs after a second-place finish in District 15-6A. College Park lost in the bi-district round and finished with a 22-11 overall record.

Jeff Evans, Covenant

Evans led the Cougars to the TAPPS Class 2A state semifinals, the second trip to the final four for the program in three years. Covenant finished with a 25-12 overall record.

Dale Reed, The Woodlands

Reed guided The Woodlands back to the playoffs for a 15th consecutive season. The Highlanders lost in the bi-district round and finished with a 19-13 overall record.
