As The Woodlands Waterway retail and entertainment area has continued to develop, upscale living in the area has become more popular.
Boardwalk at Town Center, located along the waterway, has finished some of the interior and exterior renovations underway at the apartment community. The renovations began the the fall of 2018 and by the end of the year, 60 percent of the renovations will be complete.
“The Woodlands is a well-established, upscale suburban area. As the population of the Greater Houston area grows, more housing is required to meet the needs of both newcomers and those who want to escape a dense urban environment,” said Tom Loughridge, property manager. “Housing that meets the evolving expectations of the rental market in The Woodlands is what will be in demand. The renovations at Boardwalk at Town Center are designed to meet these needs.”
The five building complex wants to reach its goal to modernize the property and uphold the reputation of most desirable community in The Woodlands area.
“We’ve been rated ‘The Best of The Woodlands’ for 10 consecutive years and our location is top notch,” said Jeff Randolph, community manager. “Luxury living is what is expected of Boardwalk at Town Center and it is also what we are dedicated to providing.”
The Boardwalk has eight floor plans available and 450 units that range from 558 square-feet one bedroom apartments to 1,366 square-feet with two bedrooms and two and a half baths.
Residents can enjoy a new exterior and interior features such as a club room with a gourmet kitchen, Starbucks coffee bar, three controlled access parking garages, two swimming pools and two hot tubs. The fitness studio will be upgraded with new equipment and fitness classes.
“The renovations are designed to meet that demand of The Woodlands market and compete more directly with the new product in the area. The new design incorporates high-end finishes and modern amenities to accommodate a luxury environment,” Loughridge said.
The renovations will phase over the properties five buildings that are set to be finished by spring 2020.
“Our goal is to add long-term value to the community. With these renovations, we hope to address the needs and desires of the market in The Woodlands and provide a luxury option for renters,” Loughridge said.
The Boardwalk at Town Center’s rent starts at $1,200 which will increase as the project is completed.
“As with any upgrades there is a cost associated, therefore, you can expect to see an increase in rent, however, with all of our upgrades and our location it is worth it,” Randolph said.
There are currently no future or similar projects set for Boardwalk at Town Center.
