Two new restaurants will be opening soon in the Waterway Square District of The Woodlands.

The two new venues — Hearsay Gastrolounge and The Rose Lounge — will be located and overlooking The Woodlands Waterway. The eateries will be inside the 20 Waterway Avenue space, which is owned by the Howard Hughes Corp. and features 24,258-square-feet of dining and entertainment offerings.

In a release from the Howard Hughes Corp., officials described Hearsay Gastrolounge, as, “a popular concept started in Houston, serves inspired renditions of contemporary American dishes and specialty craft cocktails in a chic antique atmosphere.”

“Hearsay prides itself on being ‘half old-world revival, half culinary crusaders,’” officials stated. “With a quaint terrace complementing the restaurant, Hearsay will be open for lunch and dinner daily as well as weekend brunch.”

The Woodlands location will be Hearsay’s fourth restaurant in the region, joining two spots located in downtown Houston and third restaurant situated on the Strand in Galveston.

As for the other restaurant, officials stated The Rose Lounge will serve classic American fare, but with a “Texas twist while providing an entertainment experience on The Woodlands Waterway.”

The restaurant is the first iteration of the newly created The Rose Lounge, which was conceptualized by restauranteurs Diego Manobanda and Washington Revelo. The venue will have two levels and a rooftop space.

Jim Carman, president of the Houston Region for The Howard Hughes Corp., said both Hearsay Gastrolounge and The Rose Lounge will be located next to current popular eateries Cyclone Anaya’s Tex-Mex Kitchen and Grimaldi’s Pizzeria. Both restaurants are expected to open in the fall of 2020.

“Both of these concepts will be pertinent establishments in The Woodlands Waterway, further diversifying the dining and entertainment options that our residents, office users, and guests have in the Town Center,” Carman stated. “We appreciate the commitment that Hearsay Gastrolounge and The Rose Lounge have made to our community and our company and look forward to their successful opening.”
